
'Field Days' are set as once a month. It's nice to get out to the wide open fields. Run sprints, jog, walk, throw football, kick soccer ball etc. No limits, but we are all there at the same date/time and that is better. Let's roll!
USUALLY Second Sunday of the month, 10am. New Smyrna Beach Sports Complex, South Entrance, meet at soccer field #3. Members portal has changes.
Why? Why Not!
It’s nice to get out and throw/kick the ball, run sprints, walk, frisbee, cone drills every once in a while … anything you can do on a field of grass solo or with a group - do it on this day/time if you can.
Bring: anything you have, football, soccer, cones, volley etc.
Time will go by fast so don’t chit chat forever when you arrive. Start warming up, get the body moving, work on mobility of your joints. There is not a particular warm up exercise list, maybe a ‘team’ warm up will organically happen, maybe not. Throw and kick the ball a little.
By 10:15, should be ready. Recommendation:
Football pass patterns, change quarterbacks at 10 throws. In/out/slant/streak routes.
Soccer short pass, increase length, switch legs and then two touch circle keep away.
End with games. Either small a side soccer/football for increased touches. Get everyone involved and try activities others enjoy.
There are no rules and there may not be a coach. End around 11:15, hang out for a little and think what can be improved for next time.
